Visitor direction

Understand where visitors go next

floorplan-visitor-direction

Visitor direction reveals what happens after someone crosses a passage: for example, whether they turn left, go straight, or turn right after an escalator or an entry point.

Combined with floorplans and density visualizations, it helps you move from “how many people were there?” to “where are they going and why?”.

In practice, it helps you:

  • Turn movement into decisions: optimize signage/wayfinding and validate whether visitors follow intended routes.
  • Improve space performance: reduce bottlenecks and place staff, services, or promotions where they’ll be most effective.
  • Build toward journey analytics: add a clear “what happens next” signal at key decision points.

How it works

Visitor direction leverages your existing sensors by runing targeted analysis on directions visitor take at different crossing points.

Analyzed data is available for each monitored passage, expressed as a percentage of visitors that took one of pre-defined directions.

Direction splits are visualized on floor plans to understand both “where people are” and “where they go next”, and spot directional imbalances or optimize use of your space.
